Challenges and other things...
1. June Challenge (due at the June meeting)
Use the fat quarter to create a 12 inch (12-1/2 inch unfinished) block for the exchange raffle at the June Meeting. The block can be any style you want (applique, pieced, both, etc.).
2. 2011 Quilt Show Challenge (due at the October meeting)
The Challenge fabric is a Hoffman Fabric designed by McKenna Ryan. The complete pieces will be shown at our 2011 quilt show, with the theme of "Northern Lights".
There will be two categories for judging. One is wall quilts, and the other is anything else. Please incorporate a star somehow in the design. You are free to use any techniques, including embellishment, piecing, applique and quilting to include the star in your design. Include as many fabrics as you wish to complete your project.
The finished items will be voted on by the members at the October meeting prior to the show.
